SCOTT MILLIKAN – Guitar, Keyboard
Scott was raised in Southern California in the late 50’s and 60’s amid the musical explosion of that era. He spent countless hours during hot summer days in front of the the juke box at a local rec center during his early years, “taking it all in…”. A childhood dream came true, when his parents bought him his first guitar (for $25) at the age of nine.
Although he never had any formal training, Scott was heavily influenced by the 60’s surf sounds of Dick Dale and the Deltones, The Ventures, Jan and Dean and of course, the Beach Boys. However, he could not escape the spell of Jimi Hendrix, Cream, the Doors, and the Rolling Stones among other hard rock super groups that dominated that era.
Four years in Nashville for medical school opened Scott’s eyes and ears to the sound of country western music. Scott, a veteran of rock and roll bands in his youth, took a 33 year hiatus before joining The Midlife Chryslers in 2006. Scott is married to Tamra and they have five children. In his spare time, he practices cardiovascular surgery.
