LAURY SEALEY - Trumpet

Laury was born in Billings and grew up in Roundup, the fourth son of a logger and entrepreneur (father) and a stay at home mom who was heavy into arts and crafts and protecting the younger sister.  All five siblings participated in band throughout high school, so being around music was a gimme.

That influence at home prompted Laury to major in music at Rocky Mountain College and teach band, orchestra and choir over a 36 year period until retirement in 2013 from School District 2 in Billings.  He played bass guitar for a year and a half with his brother's country/rock band, subbed in the Billings Symphony and a few jazz big bands, and is currently playing in Billings Community Band and The Second Avenue Stompers Dixieland Band.

Kevin McBride asked Laury to sub for Doug a few times with the Chryslers over the last couple years, and when Doug retired in 2015, Laury joined the group.  Laury is married to Elaine (41 years), an employee at First Interstate Bank, and has two sons, Landon and Jeff and two grandsons, Milo and Cormac.  Sports and refereeing have always been a big part of his life, along with music.   He umpired softball and baseball and is an active referee in volleyball and basketball.
